Your garage door makes up a big part of the curb appeal for your business. So, when the holidays roll around, you might be left looking for some way to include the garage door in the decorating plan. Here, you'll find a few ideas that can help decorate your garage door for the upcoming holidays.
Check for Problems
This is a good time to do a complete inspection of your garage door. After all, when else do you really give your garage door any thought? Look over the garage door itself. does everything seem to be solid? Look for splitting of the door and check the condition of the rubber threshold on the bottom.
If everything there seems to be okay, examine the hardware. If you notice any corrosion, or if the door isn't opening and closing smoothly, you'll need to lubricate the track and give it another go. If there are still problems, contact your commercial garage door repair professional for assistance.
How does your garage door open? Does it have enough clearance to open and close if you were to hang a wreath on the front of it? Hanging a classic wreath or two will go a long way in tying the garage door into the rest of your holiday decorating, but what do you use to hang it? That's easy these days, you can use Command Hooks to hang the wreath.
Before you stick your Command Hook to the surface of the garage door, use a little bit of rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball to clean the spot where the hook will go. This will clean the surface and make it possible for the hook to stick throughout the holiday season. Use at least two hooks per wreath, one at the top and one at the bottom. This will keep it from blowing in the wind and flopping around when the door is opened and closed.
If you do not have the clearance to hang a wreath on your garage door, you can find all kinds of graphics that will stick to the surface. They're kind of like window clings, but made more durably.
Another option is to run pine garland across the opening of the garage door. A few twinkle lights and a dozen red bows and your garage door will look as festive as the living room with the tree in it.
There are all sorts of things that you can do to decorate your garage door. Let your creativity flow and have fun this year.
I don’t know about you, but I work hard, and at the end of the day, I really want to come home to a relaxing hot shower. That’s hard to do, though, when your shower enclosure is too small, or when your water pressure is terrible. I decided that what I needed to do was give my shower space an upgrade. I had a larger shower enclosure installed, along with some massage jets and a shower seat. I started this blog about shower options to help you learn how to upgrade and improve your own shower experience. It’s more affordable than you think, and you can even do some of the work yourself. Check out the tips and advice on this blog to get the shower that you deserve.
